I wa shocked to see the video clips of clashes at law college in Chennai when 2 students were beaten ruthlessly by fellow students owing to communal issues. In the complete media glare the incident happened and police were mute spectator to the whole incident. News papers report noted that Police personnel did not receive goahead from the college authorities to act on the issue. Photogrpahs printed in the news papers showed students holding deadly weapons and one student was beaten continuously even after he fell down. Blood was oozing out of his body. Just could not imagine the pain he would have undergone.
Wondering whether they are lawyers or Goondas. How can these students become lawyer or be gaudian of democracy. It will be nice if Human rights organization act swiftly on the issue and make sure that studnets involved are punished. Hope the injured students get well soon.
It all boils down to humanity factor after all. It reminds me of Lord Krishna who says "What have we got to this world to feel for it, what ever we have got is from this world" . Do not understand when will we stop talking about caste and creed. It was created for what reason?

Mahatma in Obama
Its nice to know that our father has been a source of inspiration to Obama and his principles of ahimsa has taught him a lot. Change can be brought in by thoughts and not with weapons. Hope he doesnt get too much in to gandhian philosophy which stands vogue in this fast world.
India will definately have an edge with the US in the diplomatic front. He seems to have soft corner for the sub-continent. His respect for the country will definately help us solve lot of issues.

Is It emotional connect or Media hype
Like evry one im also an observer of US election and i have not seen such an hype created around it. We have not watched our elections so closely when compared to US. I could see my colleagues getting regular mobile updates on the US election. What has it got to do with India? Is it because of the emotional connect that we share with our people settled in the US or is there any chances that change in Government will change the slowdown. I have heard people say that US is the largest consumer of Goods produced so when they do not have the purchasing power it normally results in slowdown across the world. No wonder we have been seeing it right left and centre.
Its also nice to observe the way media writes about election campaign in the US. almost every day we could see US elctions hitting the front page. It also makes me think whether media hype played a major role in creating an interest to watch US elections closely. TV channles are airing live commentry, discussions right from Morning 530 AM. i did not have a chance to watch the news today as there was no power at home. Thanks media for bringing us the latest from the US.

Bowled out
For sure the sport of Cricket is gonna miss the macho man Anil Kumble. We have to be proud of him for having 619 wickets to be placed at No 3. What was worth writing about is the way Australian media projected him, they have given the due credit to Anil. We have to wait and watch the description of Indian media about the wrecker man who can turn the match any side and who can bowl in any wicket. I am not great reviewer of Cricket but still the way he conducts himself on the field is something worth mentioning.
Old women in Kanch
I was at Kanchipuram on a sunday and on my return journey i saw a old women weeping with bus ticket on her hand and she told me that the bus conductor was suppose to return balance amlunt which he promised to do it once he alights at Kanchipuram. THe amount was Rs. 90, which i am sure must be more valuable for the background she belongs to. We advised her to go to the counter and trace the conductor. I am wondering how people do not have the responsibility to settle dues then and there, how come he didnt even have the courtesy for her age. She was taken for a ride for sure. It irked me a lot. Came back with disappointment and anger which i couldnt vent it out...
